EU LLM
cooperatives,
formed like Kickstarters.
In a coop, the cost is shared, the rules are written by the people who pay, and no one is in the middle extracting margin. This is a platform for forming inference cooperatives: small groups of engineers who pool their monthly spend to rent a GPU box together, share it, and run an open-weight model on EU infrastructure. If the group doesn't form, no one pays. If it does, the cost comes out of the pot.
EU Qwen 3 35B
inference coop
Five engineers, one Scaleway bare-metal node in Paris, one open-weight 35-billion-parameter model. Each member authorizes €245/mo to Mollie. Cards are held, not charged. If five members commit by the deadline, the box spins up on day thirty and the charges fire. If the fifth member never arrives, every authorization releases. Nobody loses money on a coop that doesn't form.
Once live, members get an OpenAI-compatible endpoint with their own cache-salted key. Members vote on hardware refresh, model swap, fair-use limits. The founder (in this case: me) is just the first member and the operator. No equity. No margin. Just a chair at the table and the same bill as everyone else.
EXAMINE THIS SPECIMEN →The math, in full.
Every cent accounted for. Nothing hidden. If a coop runs a surplus, the members vote on what to do with it.
Negative €1.50 in any given month comes out of the reserve. After three years of full coverage, the reserve holds three months of cost. Anything above that, members vote.
The terms of membership.
- i.One member, one vote.On hardware refresh, model swap, fair-use limits, surplus allocation, new-member admission.
- ii.Fair-use by default.200,000 TPM and 8 concurrent requests per member. Exceeding = rate-limited, not banned.
- iii.Three warnings, then a vote.1st: warning. 2nd: rate-limited for a week. 3rd: members vote on removal at end of cycle.
- iv.Cancel anytime.Access ends end of billing cycle. No refund for partial month. Slot opens to waitlist.
- v.Failed payment = 7-day grace.Card fails → 7 days to update. Then suspended, slot opens to waitlist.
- vi.The platform doesn't extract.CoopForge takes a platform fee only to cover its own server. Set by vote. Currently zero.
- vii.Refunds are automatic. If the coop doesn't fill by deadline, every authorization releases without anyone asking.
- viii.Hardware cost is public. The coop ledger is visible to all members. No hidden line items.
No coops have completed yet. The first one — a Qwen 35B inference coop — is forming now. Failed coops will be listed here, not hidden. Successful coops will be archived with their final ledger.
